I bought my first mini dachshund in 1994. Princess was my one and only doxie for 10 years. She has been such a joy in my life. Over the years I had thought about adding to my doxie family but was so content with Princess that I didn't pursue that thought. I had found that dachshunds were so smart and such great companions. Princess loved to play ball and once you started playing she would not give up. She has also been such a loyal loving family member. Anyone who has owned a dachshund understands what I mean by that.
Five years ago my husband and I decided that we couldn't be without a dachshund should anything happen to Princess. We started our search for a new addition to our family. In the mean time my son knew someone who had a litter of pups that were mixed between a miniature dachshund male and a spitz female. One of those puppies looked a lot like our Princess. He was black and tan and so is she. Bull became a part of our family as my son's dog. Shortly after that we found Brutus Buckeye, a red CKC registered male, he came to live with us as my husband's dog. About a year later I felt left out of the puppy picture and wanted a puppy for myself. Along came Sophie and Chloe, both CKC registered females. At that point I started considering breeding. By that time Brutus had been neutered, so of course I needed to a find male. That search brought us Clifford, a red AKC & CKC registered male. Sophie was the first to be bred with Clifford then Chloe. We had six beautiful puppies from those two litters. Sophie has since been spayed and now lives with a friend of mine.
Our family now includes nine registered miniature dachshunds and our rescue doxie, Polly. The tiniest of the bunch is Twinkie, a dilute red long hair female. After we had purchased her she forgot to grow. At a whopping 6.5 pounds we felt she was to small to breed and had her spayed. Clifford had been our AKC stud for our first four litters. He proved himself to be so very willing to breed the girls that our other boys didn't get a chance. Clifford has been neutered is now living a wonderful life as our pet.
Our AKC registered breeding females are Emily - long hair Black & Tan, Lizzie - long hair Black and Tan Silver Dapple and our CKC registered Chloe - smooth coat Chocolate. Our AKC & CKC registered stud males are Magoo - long hair Red and Ransom - long hair Black & Tan. Both of our males carry for UK cream genes.
All of our dogs live in our house. They have a big fenced in back yard to run and play in. Our "babies" as we call them are just like our kids. They are spoiled rotten! As with the adult dogs, all of the puppies are in our house. They are born in our home and raised with lots of loving care. Every puppy is snuggled, loved and pre-spoiled. We only sell our puppies to loving, responsible, caring homes. Pedigrees for my breeding males and females are available upon request.
Our goal is to breed minature dachhunds with excellent conformity and temperments. We raise healthy, happy puppies. They will be vet checked and up to date on their shots and wormings when they are ready to go to their new loving forever homes. We welcome visitors to come and meet our dogs and puppies before deciding to purchase one. All puppies are sold with a Sales Agreement. Please read the copy on this site.
Shipping is available for an additional charge. As an alternative to shipping to states around Ohio I am willing to split drive time to deliver the puppy. Call and ask for details.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 will hold a puppy for you. No puppy is considered sold without a financial agreement.
